Borman Auto-Plex When Colonel Frank Borman decided to come in from the cold of outer space and settle into the warmth of Las Cruces, LE Electric was there to help him. When the Colonel wanted to construct the biggest and best car dealership Southern New Mexico had ever seen, LE Electric was there to help him. We installed and maintained a most extensive electrical system for the biggest Auto-Plex in the southern half of New Mexico. LE Electric installed the complete electrical system for not only the main building, but also the other buildings that support it. All the equipment necessary in the body shop, mechanics area, as well as the extensive computer network and its associated equipment were all handled with ease by the electrical system installed. One of the things that are very important to any car dealership, but especially at the Borman Auto-Plex, is the lot lighting. Miles of underground wiring connect enough lighting to illuminate some small towns at the Auto-Plex. All this lighting is controlled automatically to adjust to daylight savings time as well as seasonal changes so that the lot never loses the luster that adequate lighting brings. LE Electric also installed at the Auto-Plex the electrical system for a fully automated car wash. The car wash has since been removed in order to make room for other endeavors. The Borman Auto-Plex continues to set the pace in Southern New Mexico as one of the leaders in the automotive industry.
